Dr Matt Henn

Dr Matt Henn, PhD is the Chief Scientific Officer and Executive Vice President at Seres Therapeutics. Matthew Henn has over 16 years of combined research experience in microbial ecology, genomics, and bioinformatics that span both environmental and infectious disease applications.

Matt is an expert in the development, implementation, and application of various genomic technologies to the study of microbial populations and their metabolic function. He has over 60 peer-reviewed publications in microbiology and bioinformatics, and he has led multiple large-scale international genomic projects.

He has served as a consultant for the WHO’s Grand Challenges in Genomics for Public Health in Developing Countries, is a scientific advisor for NIH’s Viral Pathogen Bioinformatics Resource Center and serves on the editorial board of Genome Medicine.
